Cake Decorating Classes

Basic Cake Decorating Course One

This is a four week class, which will meet one night a week. You will learn about the use basic tools necessary for decorating a cake. Under the instructor’s guidance you will have the opportunity to use those tools to decorate several cakes using various techniques. This course fee is $130 and includes a decorator kit valued at $80.  Class Dates:   

Basic Cake Decorating Course Two

Students need to have completed Course One at Shawnee Hills Bakery or course two through a Wilton School. By the end of this course the student will have acquired advanced knowledge of the use of tools introduced in Course One plus the use of additional tools. Emphasis is put on advanced element of design for professional-style cakes. This course fee is $130 and includes addition tools (from those provided in Course One). 

• February 1, 8, 15 and 22, 2012 -- 7:00 pm to about 8:30 pm.
• July 11, 19, 26 and August 1, 2012  -- 7:00 pm to about 8:30 pm.

Advanced Cake Decorating Course Three

 Students need to have completed Course Two at Shawnee Hills Bakery. This class will cover advanced techniques including the use of fondant, filling cakes, tiered wedding-style cakes and decorating with candy clay and gum paste. All decorator tools furnished in courses One and Two will be needed. In addition, tools specific to the class will be either included in the course kit or made available for use by the student. The course fee is $150.
